Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 17:59

Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn Mikhraq, from Mu’awiyah ibn Qurrah, from his father, that a man said to the Prophet (peace be upon him): "I indeed slaughter the sheep, and I feel mercy for it," or he said: "I indeed feel mercy for the sheep when I slaughter it." He said: "If you show mercy to the sheep, Allah will show mercy to you," twice.
