Hadith 17:593
Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from al-‘Ala’ ibn al-Musayyab, from Khaythama, who said: The name of my father during the Jahiliyyah was ‘Aziz, so the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) named him ‘Abd al-Rahman.
