Yahya ibn Ya'la Abu al-Muhayyah narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Umayr, who said: The son of the brother of 'Abd Allah ibn Salam narrated to me, from 'Abd Allah ibn Salam, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and my name was not 'Abd Allah ibn Salam. So the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, named me 'Abd Allah ibn Salam.
