Hadith 17:621
Hushaym narrated to us, he said: Mansur informed us, from Ibn Sirin, who said: When al-Ash'ari arrived in Basra, he said to them: "I say to you that the Commander of the Faithful has sent me to you to teach you your Sunnah and to clear your paths."
حدثنا هشيم قال أخبرنا منصور عن بن سيرين قال لما قدم الأشعري البصرة قال لهم فيها تقولون إن أمير المؤمنين بعثني إليكم لأعلمكم سنتكم وإنظافكم طرقكم
