Hadith 17:687
'Abbad ibn al-'Awwam narrated to us, from Husayn, from Abu Malik al-Ghifari, who said: If you enter a house in which there are polytheists, say: "Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah" (as-salamu 'alayna wa 'ala 'ibadillahi-s-salihin). They will think that you have greeted them, while you have diverted the greeting away from them.
حدثنا عباد بن العوام عن حصين عن أبي مالك الغفاري قال إذا دخلت بيتا فيه المشركون فقل السلام علينا وعلى عباد الله الصالحين يحسبون أنك قد سلمت عليهم وقد صرفت السلام عنهم
