Abu Usama narrated to us, from Za'ida, from 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Umayr, from Musa ibn Talha, from Abu Hurayra, from the Prophet, peace be upon him, who said: "Indeed, the truest word a poet ever spoke is the word of Labid." Then he recited the first part of it and omitted the last part: "Verily, everything except Allah is false." And Umayya ibn Abi al-Salt almost became a Muslim.
