Hadith 17:724
Abu Usama narrated to us, from Mus'ab ibn Sulaym, from Anas, who said: Al-Bara' recited a verse of poetry. I said: "My brother is reciting a verse of poetry, and you do not know, perhaps it is the last thing you will speak." He said: "I will not die in my bed. I have killed one hundred of the polytheists and the hypocrites, save one man."
حدثنا أبو أسامة عن مصعب بن سليم عن أنس قال تمثل البراء بيتا من شعر فقلت تمثل أخي ببيت من شعر لا تدري لعله آخر شيء تكلمت به قال لا أموت على فراشي لقد قتلت من المشركين والمنافقين مائة إلا رجل
