Hadith 17:738
'Abdah narrated to us, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, from his father, from 'Aishah, who said: She used to recite these two verses from the poetry of Labid: "Those in whose shelter one lived have departed, and I have remained among successors like the skin of a mangy camel. They consume one another through greed and treachery, and their speaker is blamed even if he does not mend [the rift]."
حدثنا عبدة عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه عن عائشة قالت كانت تتمثل هذين البيتين من قول لبيد % ذهب الذين يعاش في أكنافهم % وبقيت في خلف كجلد الأجرب % % يتأكلون مشيحة وخيانة % ويعاب قائلهم وإن لم يشعب % %
