Hadith 17:759
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Ibn 'Uyaynah informed us, from 'Abd al-Rahman, from his father, who said: I used to sit with the companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) with my father in the mosque. They would recite poetry to one another and mention the affairs of the Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic era).
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أخبرنا بن عيينة عن عبد الرحمن عن أبيه قال كنت أجالس أصحاب رسول لله صلى الله عليه وسلم مع أبي في المسجد فيتناشدون الأشعار ويذكرون حديث الجاهلية
