Hadith 17:803
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ghundar narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from al-Hakam, from Mujahid, from Abdullah ibn Amr, who attributed it to the Prophet (ﷺ), he said: "Whoever claims to be the son of someone other than his father, he will not smell the fragrance of Paradise." When Nu'aym ibn Abi Umayyah saw that—and Mu'awiyah had wanted to claim him as his son—he said to Mu'awiyah: "I am but an arrow from your quiver; use me wherever you wish."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن الحكم عن مجاهد عن عبد الله بن عمرو رفعه قال من ادعى إلى غير أبيه فلن يريح ريح الجنة فلما رأى ذلك نعيم بن أبي أمية وكان معاوية أراد أن يدعيه قال لمعاوية إنما أنا سهم من كنانتك ناقدني حيث شئت
