Hadith 17:813
Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Qays al-Mula’i, he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "The excellence of knowledge is better than the excellence of worship, and the foundation of your religion is piety (al-wara’)."
