Hadith 17:842
Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi ‘Arubah, from Qatadah, who said: It reached us that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was asked about playing with dice (ka‘bayn), and he said: "It is the gambling (maysir) of the non-Arabs." Qatadah said: And he used to dislike playing with everything, to the extent that he would dislike playing with pebbles.
حدثنا بن علية عن بن أبي عروبة عن قتادة قال بلغنا أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سئل عن اللعب بالكعبين فقال إنها ميسر الأعاجم قال وكان قتادة يكره اللعب بكل شيء حتى يكره اللعب بالحصى
