Hadith 17:87
Abu Usama narrated to us, from Awf, from Zurara ibn Awfa, from Abdullah ibn Salam, who said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived in Medina, the people rushed toward him. I came to him, and when I looked at him, I recognized that his face was not the face of a liar. The first thing I heard him say was: "O people, spread peace, maintain kinship ties, feed the hungry, and pray at night while the people are sleeping."
حدثنا أبو أسامة عن عوف عن زرارة بن أوفى عن عبد الله بن سلام قال لما قدم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم المدينة انجفل الناس نحوه فاتيته فلما نظرت إليه عرفت أن وجهه ليس وجه كذاب فكان أول شيء سمعته يقول يا أيها الناس أفشوا السلام وصلوا الأرحام وأطعموا الطعام وصلوا بالليل والناس نيام
