Hadith 17:877
Affan narrated to us, he said: Ja'far ibn Sulayman narrated to us, he said: Thabit narrated to us, he said: Anas narrated to us, he said: Rain fell upon us while we were with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: So the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, went out and uncovered his garment from himself until it (the rain) reached him. We said: "O Messenger of Allah, why did you do this?" He said: "Because it has recently come from its Lord."
حدثنا عفان قال حدثنا جعفر بن سليمان قال حدثنا ثابت قال حدثنا أنس قال أصابنا ونحن مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مطر قال فخرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فحسر ثوبه عنه حتى أصابه فقلنا يا رسول الله لم صنعت هذا قال إنه حديث عهد بربه
