Hadith 17:885
Ghundar narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Malik ibn Maysarah, from Kardus, who said: He used to tell stories. He said: A man from the companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, narrated to me, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said: "For me to sit in a gathering like this is more beloved to me than that I should free four slaves," meaning: storytelling.
حدثنا غندر قال حدثنا شعبة عن عبد الملك بن ميسرة عن كردوس قال كان يقص قال حدثني رجل من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال لأن أجلس في مثل هذا المجلس أحب إلي من أن أعتق أربع رقاب يعني القصص
