Hadith 17:917
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Maymun ibn Abi Shabib, who said: Sa’sa’ah said to his nephew: "I was more beloved to your father than you are, yet you are more beloved to me than your father." "When you meet the believer, then associate with him; and when you meet the wicked person, then oppose him."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن حبيب بن أبي ثابت عن ميمون بن أبي شبيب قال قال صعصعة لابن أخيه إني كنت أحب إلى أبيك منك فأنت أحب إلي من أبي إذا لقيت المؤمن فخالطه وإذا لقيت الفاجر فخالفه
