Hadith 17:927
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim, from his father, who said: Ibn Umar said to Ibn Mas'ud, to Abu al-Darda', and to Abu Mas'ud 'Uqbah ibn 'Amr: "I reckon this hadith is from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." He said: And I reckon he detained them in Medina until he was struck [by death].
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا بن ادريس عن شعبة عن سعد بن إبراهيم عن أبيه قال قال بن عمر لابن مسعود ولأبي الدرداء ولأبي مسعود عقبة بن عمرو أحسب ما هذا الحديث عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال وأحسبه حبسهم بالمدينة حتى اصيب
