Hadith 17:967
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Hammam, who said: A man came and praised Uthman to his face. So Al-Miqdad ibn al-Aswad took some dust and threw it into his face. And he said: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "If you encounter the praisers, throw dust into their faces."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا وكيع قال حدثنا سفيان عن منصور عن إبراهيم عن همام قال جاء رجل فأثنى على عثمان في وجهه فأخذ المقداد بن الأسود ترابا فحثاه في وجهه وقال ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال إذا لقيتم المداحين فاحثوا في وجوههم التراب
