Hadith 17:989
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr narrated to us, he said: Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Hamzah ibn Suhayb, that Umar said to Suhayb: "What is the matter with you that you use the kunya Abu Yahya, while you have no child?" He said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, gave me the kunya Abu Yahya."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا يحيى بن أبي بكير قال حدثنا زهير بن محمد عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل عن حمزة بن صهيب أن عمر قال لصهيب ما لك تكتني بأبي يحيى وليس لك ولد قال كناني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بأبي يحيى
