Hadith 17:993
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Abu al-Umays, from Atiyyah, from Ibn Umar, who said: The *shaqashiq* (boisterous, excessive, or flowery rhetoric) in speech are from the *shaqashiq* (boisterousness) of Satan.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا وكيع عن أبي العميس عن عطية عن بن عمر قال الشقاشق في الكلام من شقاشق الشيطان
