Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 23:10

Shababa bin Sawwar narrated to us, he said: Sulayman bin al-Mughira narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, who said: We had been forbidden from asking the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) about anything, so it used to please us when a man of intellect from the people of the desert would come and ask him while we were listening. A man from the people of the desert came and said: "O Muhammad, your messenger came to us and claimed that Allah sent you." He said: "He spoke the truth." He said: "Who created the heaven?" He said: "Allah." He said: "Who created the earth?" He said: "Allah." He said: "Who set up these mountains?" He said: "Allah." He said: "By the One who created the heaven, created the earth, and set up the mountains, did Allah send you?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Your messenger claimed that there are five prayers upon us in our day and night." He said: "He spoke the truth." He said: "By the One who created the heaven, created the earth, and set up the mountains, did Allah command you with this?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Your messenger claimed that there is Zakat upon us in our wealth." He said: "He spoke the truth." He said: "By the One who created the heaven, created the earth, and set up the mountains, did Allah command you with this?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Your messenger claimed that there is fasting of Ramadan upon us in our year." He said: "Yes, he spoke the truth." He said: "By the One who created the heaven, created the earth, and set up the mountains, did Allah command you with this?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Your messenger claimed that there is Hajj upon us for whoever is able to find a way to it." He said: "He spoke the truth." He said: "By the One who created the heaven, created the earth, and set up the mountains, did Allah command you with this?" He said: "Yes." Then he turned away and said: "By the One who sent you with the truth, I will not add anything to this, nor will I decrease anything from it." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "If he is truthful, he will enter Paradise."
