Waki’ narrated to us, from Shu’bah, from Abu ‘Imran al-Jawni, from ‘Abdullah ibn al-Samit, from Abu Dharr, who said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, a man does a deed, and the people love him for it." He said, "That is the glad tiding of the believer."
