Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 23:21

Hammad ibn Mas'adah narrated to us, from Ghalib, from Bakr, who said: If I were asked about the best of the people of this mosque, and they said, "We testify that he is a believer, complete in faith, free from hypocrisy," I would not testify. And if I were to testify, I would testify that he is in Paradise. And if I were asked about the worst or the most evil [man]—the doubt is from Abu Bakr—and they said, "We testify that he is a hypocrite, complete in hypocrisy, free from faith," I would not testify. And if I were to testify, I would testify that he is in the Fire.
