Hadith 4:10
Muhammad ibn Abd Allah al-Asadi narrated to us, he said: Kathir ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Amr ibn Tamim, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "This month of yours has overshadowed you—by the oath of the Messenger of Allah—no month has entered upon the Muslims that is better for them than it, and no month has entered upon the hypocrites that is worse for them than it—by the oath of the Messenger of Allah. Indeed, Allah writes its reward and its supererogatory acts before He makes it obligatory, and He writes its burden and its misery before it enters. That is because the believer prepares for it provisions of strength and worship, while the hypocrite prepares to follow the heedlessness of the Muslims and to follow their faults. So it is a bounty for the believer and a calamity for the wicked," or he said: "The wicked person grieves in it."
