Hadith 4:106
Waki’ narrated to us, from Mudarris ibn ‘Abdullah, who said: I said to al-Sha’bi, "I am staying in al-Rayy." He said, "Pray two rak'ahs." I said, "And fasting?" He said, "Do not fast; break your fast, even if you stay for ten years."
حدثنا وكيع عن مضرس بن عبد الله قال قلت للشعبي اني اقيم بالري قال صل ركعتين قلت فالصوم قال لا تصم افطر وان اقمت عشر سنين
