Hadith 4:162
Ghundar narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from 'Amr ibn Murrah, who said: I heard Abu al-Bakhtari say: We sighted the new moon of Ramadan while we were at Dhat 'Irq. So we sent a man to Ibn 'Abbas to ask him. Ibn 'Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Indeed, Allah has extended it for its sighting, so if it is obscured from you, then complete the count."
حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة قال سمعت أبا البختري يقول انا أهللنا رمضان ونحن بذات عرق فأرسلنا رجلا إلى بن عباس يسأله فقال بن عباس قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ان الله قد امده لرؤيته فان غم عليكم فاكملوا العدة
