Hadith 4:168
Sahl ibn Yusuf narrated to us, from al-Taymi, from Abu Qilabah, who said: They used to look for the crescent moon. If they saw it, they fasted; and if they did not see it, they would look to see what their Imam said.
حدثنا سهل بن يوسف عن التيمي عن أبي قلابة قال كانوا ينظرون إلى الهلال ان رأوه صاموا وان لم يروه انظروا ما يقول إمامهم
