Hadith 4:212
Kuthayyir ibn Hisham narrated to us, from Ja'far ibn Burqan, who said: I asked al-Zuhri and Maymun, and I said: "I intend to fast, and I see the bright pillar of dawn." They both said: "Eat and drink until you see it [spread] across the horizon of the sky horizontally."
حدثنا كثير بن هشام عن جعفر بن برقان قال سألت الزهري وميمونا فقلت أريد الصوم فأرى عمود الصبح الساطع فقالا جميعا كل واشرب حتى تراه في أفق السماء معترضا
