Hadith 4:217
Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Harith, from Ali, who said: If you reach the morning and you intend to fast, you have the choice: if you wish, you may fast, and if you wish, you may break your fast, unless you have obligated the fast upon yourself from the night.
حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن أبي إسحاق عن الحارث عن علي قال إذا أصبحت وأنت تريد الصوم فأنت بالخيار إن شئت صمت وإن شئت أفطرت إلا أن تفرض على نفسك الصوم من الليل
