Hadith 4:227
Isma'il ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, from Uthman al-Taymi, that Anas ibn Sirin fasted the Day of Arafah, and he became extremely thirsty, so he broke his fast. He asked a number of the Companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and they ordered him to make up a day in its place.
حدثنا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم عن عثمان التيمي عن أنس بن سيرين أنه صام يوم عرفة فعطش عطشا شديدا فأفطر فسال عدة من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فأمروه أن يقضي يوما مكانه
