Hadith 4:305
Ubayd Allah ibn Sahl al-Ghadani narrated to us, from Uqbah ibn Abi Jasrah al-Mazini, who said: A man came to Ibn Sirin and said, "What is your opinion regarding the *siwak* (tooth stick) for the fasting person?" He said, "There is no harm in it." He said, "Indeed, it is a palm-leaf stalk and it has a taste." He said, "Water has a taste, and you rinse your mouth with it."
