Hadith 4:315
Jarir ibn Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, from Layth, from Mujahid, who said: Aisha did not see any harm in a fasting person chewing gum, except for pitch (bitumen/resin). She would only grant a concession for pitch alone.
حدثنا جرير بن عبد الحميد عن ليث عن مجاهد قال كانت عائشة لا ترى بأسا في مضغ العلك للصائم إلا القار وكانت ترخص في القار وحده
