Hadith 4:33
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Jarir ibn Hazim informed us, he said: Bashar ibn Abi Sayf narrated to us, from al-Walid ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Iyad ibn Ghutayf, he said: We entered upon Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah during his illness, and he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) say: "Fasting is a shield, as long as one does not tear it."
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال اخبرنا جرير بن حازم ثنا بشار ( ( ( واصل ) ) ) بن أبي سيف عن الوليد بن عبد الرحمن عن عياض بن غطيف قال دخلنا على أبي عبيدة بن الجراح في مرضه فقال سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول الصوم جنة ما لم يخرقها
