Hadith 4:35
Yazid ibn Harun and Abu Usama narrated to us, they said: Hisham ibn Hassan informed us, from Wasil, the freed slave of Abu Uyayna, he said: Laqit narrated to me, from Abu Burda, from Abu Musa, who said: We were at sea, and while we were sailing with our sails raised, seeing neither an island nor anything else, we heard a caller calling out: "O people of the ship, stop, so that I may inform you." We stood up looking, but we saw nothing. He called out seven times. When it was the seventh time, I stood up and said: "O you, inform us of what you wish to inform us, for you see our situation and we are unable to stop." He said: "Shall I not inform you of a decree that Allah has decreed upon Himself? Whichever servant makes himself thirsty for the sake of Allah on a hot day, Allah will quench his thirst on the Day of Resurrection." Abu Usama added: So you would not wish to see Abu Musa fasting on a day where the distance between the two ends (of the day) is long, except that you would see him doing so.
