Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 4:441

Muhammad ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Humayd, from Bakr, from Abu al-‘Aliyah, who said: I entered upon Abu Musa while he was the governor of Basra in the evening, and I found him eating dates and *kamikh* (a condiment), and he had been cupped. I said to him, "Will you not be cupped during the day?" He said, "Are you ordering me to shed my blood while I am fasting?"
