Hadith 4:49
Waki’ narrated to us, from Musa ibn ‘Ali, from his father, from Abu Qays, the freed slave of ‘Amr ibn al-‘As, from ‘Amr ibn al-‘As, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The distinction between our fasting and the fasting of the People of the Book is the meal of the suhur (pre-dawn meal).
حدثنا وكيع عن موسى بن علي عن أبيه عن أبي قيس مولى عمرو بن العاص عن عمرو بن العاص قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه ( ( ( فصل ) ) ) وسلم فضل ما بين صيامكم وصيام أهل الكتاب أكلة السحر
