Hadith 4:583
Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Ishaq, who said: I saw the crescent moon, the crescent of Fitr, near the time of the Dhuhr prayer. So some people broke their fast. We came to Anas ibn Malik and mentioned to him the sighting of the crescent moon and the breaking of the fast by those who broke it. He said: "As for me, I will complete this day of mine until the night."
حدثنا بن علية عن يحيى بن أبي إسحاق قال رأيت الهلال هلال الفطر قريبا من صلاة الظهر فأفطر ناس فأتينا أنس بن مالك فذكرنا له رؤية الهلال وافطار من أفطر قال وأما أنا فمتم يومي هذا إلى الليل
