Hadith 4:589
9455 Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-Rukayn, from his father, who said: We were with Sulayman ibn Rabi'ah in Sinjar, and we saw the crescent of Shawwal on the twenty-ninth day in the forenoon. He said: "Show it to me." So I showed it to him, and he ordered the people, and they broke their fast.
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد القطان عن سفيان عن الركين عن أبيه قال كنا مع سليمان بن ربيعة بالسنجر فرأينا هلال شوال يوم تسع وعشرين ضحى فقال أرنيه فأريته فأمر الناس فافطروا
