Hadith 4:597
Hafs narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from al-Zuhri, who said: People testified before Ibn Umar that they had seen the crescent moon. He said: "Go out to your Eid from the next day," even though as much of the day as Allah willed had already passed.
حدثنا حفص عن حجاج عن الزهري قال شهد أناس عند بن عمر أنهم رأوا الهلال فقال أخرجوا إلى عيدكم من الغد وقد مضى من النهار ما شاء الله
