Hadith 4:600
Ali bin Mushir narrated to us, from al-Shaybani, from Abd al-Malik bin Maysarah, who said: I witnessed [the sighting of] the crescent moon for fasting or breaking the fast in Medina, and no one testified to the crescent moon except one man. So Ibn Umar commanded them, and they accepted his testimony.
حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن الشيباني عن عبد الملك بن ميسرة قال شهدت المدينة في هلال صوم أو أفطار فلم يشهد على الهلال إلا رجل فأمرهم بن عمر فقبلوا شهادته
