Hadith 4:617
Waki’ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from ‘Ata’, who said—at times [attributing it] to Ibn ‘Abbas, and from Hurayth, from al-Sha’bi—they both said: If it was for other than the prayer, he must make it up; but if it was for the prayer, then there is no making it up upon him.
حدثنا وكيع عن بن أبي ليلى عن عطاء قال مرة عن بن عباس وعن حريث عن الشعبي قالا إن كان لغير الصلاة قضى وإن كان للصلاة فلا قضاء عليه
