Hadith 4:628
Waki’ narrated to us, from Mahdi bin Maymun, from Ibn Sirin, who said: We woke up one day in Basra and we did not know what our status was regarding our fasting on the day about which there is doubt. So we came to Anas bin Malik, and behold, he had taken an iron tool that he used to take before he went out, then he went out. Then I came to Abu al-Siwar al-‘Adawi, and he called for his lunch. Then I came to Muslim bin Yasar, and I found him breaking his fast.
حدثناوكيع عن مهدي بن ميمون عن بن سيرين قال أصبحنا يوما بالبصرة ولسنا ندري على ما نحن فيه من صومنا في اليوم الذي يشك فيه فاتينا أنس بن مالك فإذا هو قد أخذ حديدة كان يأخذها قبل أن يغدو ثم غدا ثم أتيت أبا السوار العتكي فدعا بغدائه ثم أتيت مسلم بن يسار فوجدته مفطرا
