Hadith 4:700
Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Mutarrif, from al-Sha'bi, from Masruq, from 'Aisha, who said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) would spend the night in a state of major ritual impurity (junub), then Bilal would come to him and inform him of the prayer. He would then stand up and perform ghusl. I would look at the water dripping from his head, then he would go out, and I would hear his voice in the dawn prayer, then he would remain fasting. Mutarrif said: I said to 'Amir, "In Ramadan?" He said, "Yes, Ramadan and other than it are the same."
