Hadith 4:703
Waki’ narrated to us, from Usama bin Zayd, from Sulayman bin Yasar, from Umm Salama, who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would wake up in a state of janaba (major ritual impurity) without having had a wet dream, then he would perform ghusl (ritual bath) and wake up fasting.
حدثنا وكيع عن أسامة بن زيد عن سليمان بن يسار عن أم سلمة قالت كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يصبح جنبا من غير احتلام ثم يغتسل ويصبح صائما
