Hadith 4:724
Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn ‘Abis, from Ibn Abi Layla, from the companions of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), who said: The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) only forbade *wisal* (continuous fasting without breaking it) in fasting, and cupping for the fasting person, out of consideration for his companions.
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عبد الرحمن بن عابس عن بن أبي ليلى عن أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قالوا إنما نهى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الوصال في الصيام والحجامة للصائم ابقاء على أصحابه
