Hadith 4:726
Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade continuous fasting (al-wisal). They said, "Indeed, you practice continuous fasting." He said, "I am not like you. I spend the night while my Lord feeds me and gives me to drink," or something similar to this.
