Hadith 4:729
Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from 'Amarah ibn al-Qa'qa', from Abu Zur'ah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: I heard him saying: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Beware of continuous fasting (wisal)," three times. They said: "You practice continuous fasting, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "You are not like me in that regard. I spend the night while my Lord feeds me and gives me drink. So, take upon yourselves of deeds that which you can bear."
حدثنا بن فضيل عن عمارة بن القعقاع عن أبي زرعة عن أبي هريرة قال سمعته يقول قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إياكم والوصال ثلاث مرات فقالوا إنك تواصل يا رسول الله قال لستم في ذالكم مثلي إني أبيت يطعمني ربي ويسقيني فاكلفوا من الأعمال ما تطيقون
