Hadith 4:76
'Abbad ibn al-'Awwam narrated to us, from al-Shaybani, from Ibn Abi Awfa, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was on a journey while he was fasting. When the sun set, he said, "O so-and-so, dismount and mix [sawiq] for us." He said, "O Messenger of Allah, there is still daylight upon you." He said, "Dismount and mix for us." He said it three times. So he dismounted and mixed [it], and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) drank. Then he said, "When you see the night has approached from here, the fasting person has broken his fast." I said, "And you are with him?" He said, "Yes."
حدثنا عباد بن العوام عن الشيباني عن بن أبي أوفى قال كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في سفر وهو صائم فلما غابت الشمس قال يا فلان انزل فاجدح ( 1 ) لنا قال يا رسول الله ان عليك نهارا قال انزل فاجدح لنا قالها ثلاثا فنزل فجدح فشرب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ثم قال إذا رايتم الليل قد أقبل من ها هنا فقد افطر الصائم قلت وانت معه قال نعم
