Hadith 4:788
Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ziyad ibn ‘Alaqah, from his uncle Qutbah ibn Malik, that ‘Umar saw a group of people who were in I’tikaf in the mosque and they had put up a screen, so he disapproved of it and said, “What is this?” They said, “We are only screening our food with it.” He said, “Screen it, but when you have eaten, tear it down.”
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن زياد بن علاقة عن عمه قطبة بن مالك أن عمر رأى قوما اعتكفوا في المسجد وقد ستروا فأنكره وقال ما هذا قالوا إنما نستره على طعامنا قال فاستروه فإذا طعمتم فاهتكوه
