Hadith 4:805
Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from ‘Ali ibn al-Aqmar, from Shaddad ibn al-Azma’, who said: A man performed i’tikaf in the Great Mosque and pitched a tent, so the people pelted him with pebbles. This reached Ibn Mas’ud, so he sent a man to him, and he restrained the people from him and approved of that.
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن علي بن الأقمر عن شداد بن الأزمع قال اعتكف رجل في المسجد الأعظم وضرب خيمة فحصبه الناس فبلغ ذلك بن مسعود فارسل إليه رجلا فكف الناس عنه وحسن ذلك
